Husband of Ada Florence Stanley of 13 Gulson Road Coventry. Killed in a November Raid 21/11/1940 Aged 55 at The Globe Hotel, Abbey End, Kenilworth.

William Robert Lambe

Son of Councillor Robert Lambe of 3 Somerdale Park, Belfast, Ireland. Husband of Sarah Lambe. Special Constable. Killed in the Coventry Blitz 14/11/1940 Aged 26 outside Jordan Well Shelter whilst trying to help civilians trapped inside.

Proprietress of the Wool Shop, Crampers Field. Killed whilst on duty in the Coventry Blitz 14/11/1940 Aged 45, outside Crampers Field Air Raid Shelter.

Rose Ellen Lane nee Johnson

Widow of Arthur F. Lane. Resided 146 Bollingbroke Road, Coventry. Killed in a November Raid 21/11/1940 Aged 65 at The Globe Hotel, Abbey End, Kenilworth.

Denis Lapworth aka Dennis Lapworth

Born 16/08/1923 at Hawkesbury. Son of Joseph Thomas Lapworth and Annie Twigg. Brother of Margaret A and Phyllis H Lapworth. Resided at 40 Lentons Lane, Hawkesbury. Employed Alfred Herbert Limited (Air Defence Cadet Corps. No. 163 Alfred Herbert Squadron). Killed in the Coventry Blitz 14/11/1940 aged 17 outside Wootton House, Coventry Road, Longford. Buried Zion Baptist Church, Hawkesbury.

Born 16/07/1890 at Coventry. Son of Arthur Lee a Watch Jeweller and Kate Perkins. Husband of Mabel Ethel Lown. Resided 51 St Patricks Road. Employed at Clark,Cluley and Co Limited and an A.R.P. Firewatcher . Killed in the April Raids at St Patrick’s Road 08/04/1941 Aged 50. Buried London Road Cemetery Coventry.

William Henry Leedham

Born 02/11/1903 at Netherseale, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Son of Harry and Elizabeth Shakespeare Leedham, of Manor House, Netherseale, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire. Husband of Effie May. Resided at 26 Beaumont Crescent, Radford. Police Constable, Coventry City Police Force. Killed by a Bomb Blast 12/10/1940 whilst on duty by the Cranes Hotel at the top of Bishop Street Aged 36 together with Sergeant James Arthur Fox. The Police Memorial website indicated he was killed whilst evacuating the area around a delayed action bomb. Buried Netherseale Baptist Church.

Jane Leeson

Born 15/01/1916 in Belfast. Wife of Raymond Leeson. Resided 45 Pearson Avenue. Housewife. Killed in the Coventry Blitz 14/11/1940 at 45 Pearson Avenue Aged 24. Buried London Road Cemetery, Coventry.

Janet Mabel Loveitt

Daughter of Thomas Loveitt and Mary Rolfe Bayly (Chemists of Coventry) Born 21/12/1878 Coventry. She resided at 12 Westminster Road. A member of the Civil Defence Wardens Service. Killed in the April Raids 11/04/1941 whilst on duty at Grosvenor Road. Buried in the communal grave at London Road Cemetery Coventry.

Member of the Police Auxiliary Messenger Service. Killed in the Coventry Blitz 14/11/1940 Aged 16 whilst on duty in Jordon Well. Buried Coventry Cemetery.
